MILAN – BELLAGIO (COMO LAKE) – STRESA (LAKE MAGGIORE)  (8 days/7 nights)

2 nights in Milan, 2 nights in Bellagio, 2 nights in Stresa, 1 night in Milan

Day 1 – Milan: Arrive at Milan airport and pick up of your rental car. Drive to hotel and overnight in hotel

Day 2 – Milan (Bergamo): In the morning guided walking tour with Last Supper visit (included)). In the afternoon drive to Bergamo for the visit of the “Bergamo Alta”, the old city. Surrounded by the 16th-century Venetian Walls, the medieval Città Alta is dominated by the Rocca di Bergamo fortress. Handsome piazzas house the arcaded Palazzo della Ragione, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore with its gilded interior, and the intricate marble facade of the Cappella Colleoni. Overnight.

Day 3 – Milan – Bellagio: Drive to Bellagio on the Lake Como, via Lecco for the panoramic view of the Lecco branch of the Lake. Bellagio is a village on a promontory jutting out into Lake Como. It’s known for its cobbled lanes, elegant buildings and Villa Serbelloni Park, an 18th-century terraced garden with lake views. In the evening “Typical dining experience with cooking demo” (included). Overnight.

Day 4 – Bellagio (Lake Como): Full day dedicated to the visit of the Como lake. Best way to do it is to navigate the Lake with the regular ferries that can take you to every corner of the lake. Overnight.

Day 5 – Bellagio – Stresa: Drive to Lake Maggiore with a stop at the Rocca d’Angera for the visit. The Rocca Borromeo di Angera, is a castle on a lakeside hilltop in the limits of the town of Angera in the Province of Varese on the Southern shores of Lago Maggiore. Overnight.

Day 6 – Stresa (Lake Maggiore): Morning dedicated to the excursion to the Isole Borromee via boat (included). The Borromean Islands are a group of three small islands and two islets in the Italian part of Lago Maggiore, located in the western arm of the lake, between Verbania to the north and Stresa to the south. Together totaling just 50 acres in area, they are a major local tourist attraction for their picturesque setting and beauty. Overnight.

Day 7 – Stresa – Orta – Milan: Drive back to Milan with a stop on Lake Orta, a picturesque little lake just west of the Lake Maggiore. A visit of the little San Giulio town is highly recommended. Overnight

Day 8 – Milan: Drive to the airport to return your rental car and depart on your flight.

The type of car is quoted based on the number of passengers, just keep in mind that car models in Europe are smaller than the one in US.
