Day 2: Langhe wine day tour
When you’re travelling to Piedmont, there’s just too many wineries it’s almost impossible to choose. This is why our team \ has thought about a special combo to offer you for this Wine day Tour of Le Langhe. The tour has been built after our visits in 2019 and 2020 and we’re strongly convinced you can take the best out of Piedmont wineries from this special combo experience. Your first appointment is at 10.30 at Massimo Rivetti Winery. With its 25 hectares, cultivated under the organic certification, the winery grows both traditional and international grapes. To welcome you at the winery there will be a member of the Rivetti’s winery, who’ll guide you to discover the famous Serraboella hill in Neive. Completely plunged in the nature and in the vineyards you will learn how you can make an excellent wine in the most natural way. At the end of the visit, you will have a guided tasting of 5 wines chosen by you in the wine shop Porta San Rocco, in the historical centre of the medieval village of Neive, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The different products combined to our wines come mainly from local producers. After the end of the tasting you’ll have the chance to enjoy a tasty light lunch in Neive, one of the most beautiful small italian villages. We’ve been to this typical osteria in 2019 and they treated us in a very genuinely way, which is exactly what we we were looking for our travelers. This is why you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy this “tagliere” with local cheese and cold cuts. At the end of the light lunch you can grab a coffee and relax for a while before heading towards the second winery of the tour, Stefano Cagliero. We’ve been there in 2018 and Stefano welcomed us at his house sharing all his love for the territory and, most importantly, for the grapes and the vineyards that his family had been working for years. This is NOT a touristy place, his kitchen is his tasting room and you’ll feel like you’ve always been part of the Cagliero Family. Moreover, you’ll taste at least 6 glasses of different wines, including his famous Barolo DOCG.
At the end of the day you’ll have tasted at least 10 glasses of wines and discovered 2 wineries far from the classic routes!
