5 days/4 nights itinerary from TURIN

Day 1: Torino – Alba

Pick up at the hotel in Turin and transfer towards the Langhe. In the morning, along the way, photographic stops at some panoramic points with views of the Langhe before arriving – by 10:30 – at Cascina Sot, which will be the first winery visited on this tour of the Langhe and Monferrato. Here we will have the chance to get in touch with the world of Barolo by getting to know a family winery. Visit with tasting of 7 products together with a member of the family. The particularity of this tour is given by Maurizio, the young producer. At the end of the visit we transfer to a slow food gourmet restaurant in Barolo or Neive for a light lunch included based on cheese, cold cuts and a typical dish of the Piedmontese tradition. At the end of the lunch we transfer to the hotel that will be used for the next 2 nights.

Day 2: E-bike tour experience in le Langhe

Pick up at the hotel by today’s guide and we begin the tour through the Langhe hills by e-bike. During the tour there will be an expert guide for the whole day. The tour that will include a visit to the Castle of Grinzane, a visit to a village and 2 tastings with light lunch. Return to the hotel at 5 pm. Dinner included As an alternative to the e-bike tour we can propose a day of truffle hunting with cooking class and tasting at lunch, but we thought we would offer a more sporty activity even if at the same time easy to ensure outdoor experiences.

Day 3: Visit of Monferrato

This morning we check out and head off in the direction of Monferrato. Our first stop, however, is BRA, the hub of the cheese trade in Italy. Following the history of cheese with a local guide, we will visit a cheese factory that has been aging and selling cheese for 100 years. Once the visit is over, we will leave in the direction of Canelli where we will stop to visit Coppo Winery, one of our favorite wineries with a real underground cathedral to visit. This guided tour will take you through corridors, passages and tunnels carved into the tuff since the 18th century. Today, the wineries are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The guided tour of the underground cathedrals ends with a tasting of 4 wines that best represent the Coppo winery:

• Moncalvina Moscato d’Asti DOCG Canelli

At the end of the visit (around 12pm) we will leave towards Monferrato with lunch in Nizza Monferrato. At the end of lunch we will leave towards Casale in the direction of the structure that will host us for the next 2 nights.

Day 4: Borghi, castles, Krumiri and wine

This morning we will leave from the hotel towards Casale Monferrato, where we will have a short guided tour followed by a tasting of the famous Krumiri, before going to Cella Monte, where we will have a walk of the village on our own and then reach the Cinque Quinti winery, a beautiful family in the heart of Monferrato with a wonderful infernot and the possibility to taste some excellent wines. At the end of the visit we will move to the Distilleria Mazzetti d’Altavilla. Here we will have a unique culinary experience at the Materia Prima restaurant. At the end of lunch visit to the distillery and then return to the hotel.
