From November 1st, it will be possible to visit the Colosseo in Roma from the top floors at about 40 meters from the ground. The new outstanding view will be opened for pre-booked visitors with a maximum of 25 people per group. A fascinating path through covered passages and up to flight of stairs will take to this restored panoramic view point.
After the last opening to the public of the underground cells where the gladiators prepared their fights, the view from the emperors’ terrace completes the visit of one of the most famous monuments of Italy.
The new tour ascends from the level (at 30 meters from the ground), walking though the only covered gallery restored as it was originally and located between the second and third level where the attendance was dispatched. It was never visited before by the public and offers white frescoes with crown drawings, discovered after a detailed restoration. Every level was dedicated to different casts, the fifth to the common people, the fourth to the traders and shop owners, the third to the middle class, the second to the knights (equites) and the first to the senators.
