Meeting with the guide and the private driver (car: Mercedes Serie S) at the hotel in Parma, almost 8am. Transfer to a dairy, so early in the morning to see the entire working process of a wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese: from the arriving of the milk to the shaping in the wheel and visit also the salting and seasoning cellars for the maturing process. Tasting of different kind of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. Transfer to Soragna and visit the Museum of Parmigiano Reggiano, set in an old cheese factory, to see the development of the working techniques for the cheese. Following transfer to Langhirano (about 45 minutes by car) and stop over to visit the amazing Torrechiara’s Village with the medieval Castle built between the 1448 and 1460 by Pier Maria Rossi. Lunch on your own. We recommend the lunch in a typical delicatessen or in a restaurant surrounded by vineyard with a breath taking view on the Torrechiara’s Castle. After lunch, guided visit to a Prosciutto di Parma producer, to know every secret about the king of salami. Tasting of Prosciutto di Parma.
